American Dad time travel

You know, I can admit that it is possible that the U.S. might have unconditionally surrendered to the U.S.S.R. if Walter Mondale became president in 1984. But at the same time, it's also possible that the Russian occupation of America would drain their military and economic resources to such an extent that it would cause the collapse of the Soviet Empire -- especially with all those Red Dawn-type resistance fighters running around.

AD Is NOT FG

Hi,new tribe member here. I only found out about AD after being a FG fan. Early on I had no luck in getting into the AD series...kept comparing the two shows in my head. Now,much later, I am watching AD season 1 on DVD and loving it!! American Dad is proving to be a very funny and witty show on its own right. More political and currently oriented it should not be compared with FG(other than for its technical and production values ). FG is still my favorite but the more I watch AD the more it is an "apples and oranges" scenario. "Roger" the intersteller reincarnation of Paul Lynd has become my favorite. The nazi fish is also fun. "Stradle mine bowl!"

Spin off of a spin off here...anybody watched Seth Green`s Robot Chicken series? Very funny and quirky,with the same brand of ironic and obscure humor. Fun.

After the last 20 years of Francine's memory was erased, why wasn't she shocked to see things that didn't exist in 1985 like cel phones the size of wallets or the World Wide Web? Any explanations for that?

Super Bowl Episode

I saw the the first American Dad episode after the Super Bowl.
I thought it was great. The voices were a but different but there was still the Family Guy sense of situation and political humor.

The Paul Lynde voice of the alien started to get on my nerves, but his character was good.

I think we are off to a great start.

Premiere Episode

The first episode of American Dad will be on Fox, February 6, 2005. It will be right after the Super Bowl. Approx time should be around 10:30-10:45pm.
